He is the captain of the New South Wales Blues, and also captained, up until the end of the 2007 season, Derbyshire County Cricket Club.[1] He has also played for the Indian Premier League team, Kings XI Punjab.
He is a left-handed opening batsman and part-time left-arm unorthodox spin bowler. He is well regarded for his ability and tenaciousness as a batsman, and draws comparison to former national player Michael Bevan.
