Wicket-keeper cum batsman Luke Ronchi had to struggle great heights to make his place in the team, as after Adam Gilchrist, Brad Haddin took over as the wicket-keeper. It was in Haddin’s absence that Ronchi got a chance to play. It was against West Indies where in four One-day matches, Ronchi got a chance to deliver. In IPL, Ronchi participated in four matches, but couldn’t show much wonders with his bat. As, a result of which Yogesh Takawale was made to play in the remaining matches. However, seeing Ronchi’s performance in the past one year, its quite possible that he is made to play lot more in the second spell of IPL. He is seen as a hard hitting batsman. He has to his credit the century in domestic matches which he scored in just 51 balls. And, Mumbai’s will demand a similar performance from him.
