Name: Jean-Paul Duminy
Born: April 14, 1984, Strandfontein, Cape Town, Cape Province
IPL Team: Mumbai Indians
Country: South Africa
JP Duminy was Neeta Ambani's first choice during the second auction of IPL. A left-handed batsman and a right-arm off spin bowler Duminy is also known for his stylish performances batting at the top order. Duminy was identified very early on as a potential international player, but having made his ODI debut in 2004, it was another three years before he made a place for himself in the team. Duminy's batting is elegant and graceful with a silky cover-drive and a strong square cut. Duminy being accustomed to playing at the South African wickets would surly prove to be the most cherished asset for the Mumbai Indians.
