Durban, April 28.
The ghost of fake IPL player blogger associated with writing controversial stuff about the Kolkata Knight Rider’s camp has now started to defame players. This has already caused a lot of unease and trouble but it doesn’t seem to be stopping anyhow. The blogger posts regularly on the blog, the last one being “Hats Off to Bhookha Naan” posted on April 26. The blogger has shown his gloominess because few teammates have been sent back. Many players are worried that this blog can leak inside stories of other teams as well.
This blogger however has not been identified as of now. Although many players including Akash Chopra and Sanjay Bangar were suspected for it, nothing has been confirmed yet. IT experts believe that the way this blog is being operated indicates no cricket player is involved in it.
According to USA based IT expert Vivek Dwivedi, the language used in ‘fakeiplplayer’ blog and its style-sheet suggests that it’s not something done by a common cricketer. Vivek says that the blogger has good command over language and he understands intricacies of cricket too. Also, he has access to KKR’s camp. But the most important thing is that that he has decent knowledge of information technology. And that’s why he hasn’t used any gadget that can reveal his identity. He knowingly avoided Google Adsense, otherwise he could have earned thousands of bucks.
Many players are perplexed with the possibility of their names being next on the list. Interestingly, the blogger has mentioned cricketers with queer and funny nicknames like ‘Ganji Hanger’ for Sanjay Bangar, ‘Appam Chutiya’ for Sreesanth nad ‘Mira Bhai’ for Harbhajan Singh etc.
According to the sources, many players have dropped the idea of blogging. Recently Harbhajan Singh signed a contract with "popcorn dot com" for blogging. Inspired by Bhajji, some other cricketers also planned the same, but after this controversy they seem to have dropped this thought. Quite a few cricketers were contriving to blog because usual BCCI regulations don’t apply in IPL. Also, access to laptops and hi-tech mobile phones, and good weather of South Africa is inspiring for writing. But this controversy has impelled players to say goodbye to blogging.
