Name: Ashish Nehra
Birth: April 29, 1979, Delhi
IPLTeam: Delhi Daredevils
Country: India
Nobody had played cricket in the family of Delhi Government Limited Manager Diwan Singh. But, when his second son exhibited interest in the game, nobody imagined that he would someday make a name for himself through it. Ashish’s elder brother got convinced only after watching his sibling taking Jadeja’s wicket. Nehra has been a part of 2003 World Cup. Before Ishant Sharma’s entry into the team, Nehra was also known as India’s fastest bowler. However, injuries in back and ankle slowed down the pace of his career. Nehra’s mother often used to get sentimental watching him play and get injured. With his family’s wishes and prayers Ashish has been able to make a comeback now and then. Having played for Mumbai Indians in the first season of IPL, the second season will see Nehra getting down on the field for Delhi Daredevils. He has been exchanged for Shikhar Dhawan.
