The first season of IPL might not have spelt rain of runs for Rane, but nobody is doubtful of his talent. He had a crucial role in getting the 2008-09 Ranji Trophy for team Mumbai. He hit stupendous 1089 runs in Ranji Trophy’s second season, and beacme the 11th batsman to make a total of more than 1000 runs in a single season. In last year’s IPL, Rane got to play in just two matches and made only four runs. But, taking a look at his current form, it seems that the expectations will run high from this right-handed batsman and right-hand bowler.
